Hope

I don't know what HOPE means to you, but to me it's survival.  I don't know how people survive the trials in their life without prayer, faith, the love of others & HOPE.  This was my senior quote in the yearbook...
Hope is a gift that we give ourselves that remains when all else is gone.  It propels us beyond doubt and keeps us from sinking in our own fears.                    --Naomi Judd

This sums up what a I thought about HOPE a decade & a half ago (eek!) and it's how I continue to feel about HOPE all these years later.  I pray, I have faith in God, I can be wrapped in the love of those who love me, but the HOPE that I have in God is what I cling to.

I have so many dear friends heavy on my heart this week.  God knows who they are.  I ask you to join me in prayer & to remember that while for most of us this truly is the most wonderful time of the year, for others it is the hardest time of the year.  I have a teenage cousin who found out this week that she may never walk again after a tragic 4-wheeler accident.  I have two dear friends who should be celebrating the first Christmas with their sons who were born too soon.  I have a friend who would love nothing more than to be a Mommy.  I have another friend who desperately wants her son to be a big brother.  I have a precious friend who will be spending her first Christmas without her husband.

I love each of you!  I hope you know that I am praying for you in faith that God knows the what & whys of each situation.  I pray that this season you have HOPE in your hearts.

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.  Romans 12:12

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.   Romans 15:13

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.  Hebrews 10:23
