Little Artist

Let's just say that anyone who knows me well, knows that
drawing is not my strong-point. I can come up with the ideas, but they always seem to get lost in translation somewhere between my head & my hands. Luckily, the boys both seem to have gotten their Daddy's gift of drawing. Ryan can draw anything. Cole has been drawing since he could hold a crayon. He, like his Daddy, draws in great detail and can sometimes take hours to complete his masterpieces. Well, recently Ben has discovered that he also enjoys drawing. He has spent the last few days covering our driveway with his artwork. Although there were many more to choose from these were my favorites for the following reasons...

1) Upon first glance, the picture above appeared to be an elephant, which it is. But, upon further examination I noticed that it is a pooping elephant. Maybe I shouldn't have thought this one was quite so funny, but it just reminds me that boys will be boys. Why are they always obsessed with bodily functions?
2) Next, is a monkey. I just like monkeys. Don't know why--I just do!
3) Next we have a picture of Meg (notice her hairbow right in the center of her head). This one is funny because you will notice that it says "I like Mommy". Ben had been in trouble all afternoon when he drew this one. He had drawn a picture of himself right next to Meg, but made sure that I noticed that she was the one who likes me. At least somebody does!
4) Ben with his self-portrait. Note the gun holsters that he on drew himself.
5) "If you draw it...it will come" Ben is really hoping that Santa will bring him a skateboard this year. Maybe Santa will leave the ER co-pay along with skateboard.

Which is your favorite???

That monkey has A LOT of fingers and toes!! :) And that skateboard is VERY tall! He might get hurt on that one! Lawson just tried to draw a person last week on the magna-doodle and it was so cute I had to take a picture of it! It's neat when they start doing "big-kid-stuff!"
