Thankful Thursday #6

I am crazy thankful for my (sometimes) sweet, (most of the time) sarcastic, (always thinks he is) funny, (couldn't be a better) Daddy, (best) friend, (totally) HOT man of mine!!!

Here's the characteristics that I am thankful for the most...

(Sometimes) sweet: If you know Ryan very well you probably know why we call him "Thoughtful Ryan". So he's not the most sensitive guy. I'm not (even close to being) the most senstive girl so that works! Ryan may not be sweet to anyone else, but he is a great husband. He is always the first to say "I'm sorry". He always puts me first. He has ALWAYS worked his tail off, always working AT LEAST two jobs--not because he just loves to work, but so I can have the things that I need & the things that I want. (Yes, he even did this before we had kids.) At times since we've been married, I've worked, but for the most part I've just been a mommy. The other night, when I got home from running errands, he had vaccuumed the house. He also cleans bathrooms! He never complains when I come home with a trunk load of goods from my latest shopping trip. I'm so thankful for the little things that he does that let me know he cares!

(Most of the time) sarcastic: Ryan is a smarty pants! I can't sugar coat that one. But, it's one of things that I love most about him. We always joke & have a good time. I am so thankful that we are able to communicate without taking things too seriously. I think this is why I can say that we've never had communication issues. I am so thankful that we are able to talk, laugh & have a good time whether it's just us, us with the kids, or with a group of friends. One of my favorite "sarcastic" Ryan stories is that when we were dating, we were in traffic behind a truck that had a bumper sticker that read "God's Gift to Women". Jokingly, I told him that I bet he thought that he needed one of those. He hit the brakes & said that I better get out then, because it said God's gift to women, not to little girls. Can you believe I still married him???

(Always thinks he is) funny: I am so thankful that Ryan is funny. I love that he laughs at things that I think are totally stupid. I love that he loves stupid funny movies. I love that stupid face that he makes in family photos--yes, my beautiful scrapbooks are filled with pictures of him standing in the back making his favorite stupid face, while every one else is smiling making the appropriate picture face. I love that he laughs with me & at me (at those times that I really need that). His dry sense of humor cracks me up! I don't know that there's a day that goes by, that I don't have a laugh thanks to him.

(Couldn't be a better) Daddy: I am so thankful that God is a priority & that he prays with our children. Obviously any man who works as tirelessly as Ryan does, loves his kids & wants them to have nice things. I can't imagine what it's like to work 24 hours straight at a stressful job. He leaves that job & then it's straight to his own business where he is the owner, manager, accountant, designer, electrician & laborer. Yet, when the boys get home, he is a quarterback, pitcher, wrestler, angler, artist & the best darn Daddy my kids could ever have. He is so hands-on whether it's with the boys or with our sweet baby girl. My kids are so lucky & blessed to have an example of a hard-working, playful & caring Daddy.
(Best) friend: There is absolutely no one else that I would rather spend time with! Even if it's shopping, I would rather be with Ryan!

(Totally) HOT man of mine: That one speaks for itself!!!

I can't imagine my life any other way. I'm so thankful everyday that God led me to the perfect man for me! I'm sorry that I don't tell you that enough!!!
