It's always special anytime that we have an opportunity to spend one-on-one time with one of the kids. Ben went with his class on their first field trip last week to Tate Farms. He asked Ryan and me to go with him. I was so happy that it worked out that we could both go! It was so nice to have that time with him even if it was a field trip.
After having our picnic lunch, we went on the hayride to pick the perfect pumpkin. This is a ritual that we do every Fall, but I realized on that ride that this was something that we have never done with Ben by himself. Since he's been around, we've always split up & helped the boys pick the perfect one. It was so fun to be able to focus all my attention on my sweet silly Ben.

The only rule was that you had to be able to carry your pumpkin back to the trailer by yourself. Ben picked out his own pumpkin and then picked out one for Ryan to carry back for Cole and lucky for me, he picked out a cute little pumpkin for Meg for me to carry back.

After picking "the one" we headed back for more fun at the petting zoo, haybale maze and playground. I think this is definitely the fastest that we have ever experienced Tate Farms.

At the end of this fun-filled day, I was saddened to learn that Ryan and I missed the best part of the whole trip...apparently there's nothing like riding on a big yellow bus for the first time!

Love that 1st pic on the hayride, great shot with the pumpkins in the background. We went yesterday, and I went in that Hay Maze with Natalie, then panicked because she started to run off in it, and I was afraid I was going to lose her. I mean honestly, where was she going to go? Ha.
Great pics! So true about the big yellow bus! Fun times!
