Thankful Thursday

So, I've been trying to do better about being thankful in general. I know how happy it makes me when my children randomly thank me for something that I have done for them, so I know how happy it must make God when we are thankful for something that he has done for us, random or not! I always remember to say thank you for the big stuff like family, friends, shelter, food, freedom & so on...... But, I forget at times to be thankful for the little things & my life is made up of so many wonderful little things. So those of you who read this are going to be subjected to my random thankfulness. My goal is going to be to post a few of my thanksgivings every Thursday. Some will be serious. Some not-so-serious, as I know that God must have a sense of humor. Regardless, it is my prayer that He will know that I am seriously thankful!

So here goes...

*I am thankful that political commercials are over! Although I am a political junkie, I am sick of the nastiness! Obama, Griffith, Parker, Shaw, Passuer & even you McCain, I'm glad to see you go! In the past month or two, I've seen each of you more than I've seen my own husband.

*I am thankful that a hungry little Meg woke me up at 4:30 this morning! That sounds crazy you say? After I fed her & put her down, I got to see the most beautiful sunrise! I don't know the last time that I saw the sun come up over the mountain. Thank you God for being in control!

*I am thankful that the boys' basketball season is about start! I love to watch them play & I love the life lessons that they learn everytime they play a sport.

*I am thankful for my job! Obviously I am most thankful for my "real" job which is being Cole,
Ben & Meg's Mommy!!! But, I am also grateful for my part-time job. I love what I do & I am thankful that I go into the office no more than 2 hours any given week, that I can work however many hours that I'm in the mood to work, that I can wear my PJ's with wet hair & that I can do all this while holding my sweet baby girl!

*I am thankful that gas prices keep going down! I drive a Tahoe, enough said!

Remember BE THANKFUL :-)
