Thankful Thursday #14

*I am thankful to be a stay-at-home Mom! There is NOTHING that gives me joy like these kiddos! I'm so thankful that I don't have to miss a thing!

*I am thankful that no one in this house is above acting like a total idiot just to get a laugh out of our Baby Cakes. Whether it's silly faces, crazy noises or just downright acting like the 3 Stooges, we're all guilty as charged & have a blast trying to earn the reward of her sweet little giggle.

*I am thankful that I sometimes (ok, ok lots of times) make mistakes. I still haven't figured out why it is that I am in charge of the family finances, but I love when I make a mistake like entering a $400 debit twice by accident. So guess who has an extra $400 this month?! Woo Hoo!

*I am thankful that I am learning to say "NO"! Who knew life could be so full & that I could be at such peace just saying that little word. My name is Joy and I am a recovering volunteer-aholic.

*I am thankful that God always sees the BIG picture--He always has a plan. I am thankful that the most important part of His plan for my life began 53 years ago today when a baby was born while her Daddy was on the other side of the world fighting a war. I am thankful that even then He began preparing her to be my Mama one day. Happy Birthday...I love you!

Remember BE THANKFUL :)

I love your thankful list! I think that it is so hard to say no, but you definitely have to look out for yourself. I always got so tickled at the times Jason and I would go to extremes to get the kids to do something. I would always think how funny it would be if someone had a camera on us!

I am really trying to say NO more often and it does feel GOOD! I love your Thankful Thursday posts. I can say today that I am thankful for not being as sore as I was yesterday after my first day of exercise class on Tues! Have a good day Joy!

I love reading your "Thankful Thursday" posts!! It's a good reminder for me to stop what I'm doing and just be thankful.

Love your lists, Joy! They are a reminder to me that I am truly blessed...even on hard days. It does bring peace in learning to say "no" and only do what you feel like God is calling you to do rather than trying to do it ALL! I am so happy to be at home with my kids, too...not every day is perfect and easy, but I can't imagine being anywhere else.
