on the Go!

It seems as if this past week we've either been coming or going! After a few days of playing catch-up/rest-up from our trip to the beach, we decided to take a last minute trip to Kentucky to visit my GanGan & Papaw who I love more dearly than I can I find words to express.
We enjoyed relaxing outside. The boys especially enjoyed having a new yard to play hide 'n seek while Meg just enjoyed being passed back & forth.
We all enjoyed eating, eating & more eating. My GanGan loves you with food! She feeds you enough to keep you full for at least a week. Meg had fun in the kitchen with GanGan. She got to play with plastic bowls, spoons & measuring cups. I put this bowl on her head being silly & for the rest of our visit anytime she saw the bowl she wanted it on her head.
We enjoyed listening to stories of when Papaw was a boy & the games they used to play like putting a feather in a corn cob & throwing it back & forth. He also told us about his brothers trying to make wine which they hid up in a tree. Their oldest sister found out & threw a rock up in the tree & broke their jug. He also talked about how they used to play marbles, but they were never allowed to play for keeps. Oh the joys of life in a simpler, slower time! I long for that at times.
In the midst of story-telling someone else decided to be on the go! I often joke that Meg has no time to learn to crawl...she's either on my hip, in a car seat or stroller. It seems we're always on the go! But she finally had the chance to take off. I am so grateful that my sweet grandparents got to share in this milestone with us & I am so grateful that she waited to take off after our beach trip!
Here's to our last week of being on the Go! School starts in one week =(

I am so thankful that my grandparents live close. It is nice to get to share these precious times with them. I am going to miss the boys being home, but I can't wait for a little one-on-time with Addyson.
