I just can't believe it...this is the last month that my baby will be 1. It's almost impossible for me to imagine that just 2 years ago we were decorating our first girl nursery, having showers & anxiously awaiting the arrival of our first (& only) daughter. It makes me so sad to know this is the last month that I will be giving her age in months without just saying a number. {2}.good.grief.
So here we are 23 months later with a Baby Cakes who's definitely not so baby :(
She talks up a storm. Some of my favorite cute little things she says...
meme {what she calls herself}
Tole {Cole}
BenBen {Ben}
I do mine. {she says this about thousand times daily, meaning don't you dare help me or try to do it for me!}
I watch funny mooooomeeeeee. {she wants to watch movies on Cole's iPod every time we get in the truck}
It is almost impossible to get a picture of her these days & I can totally forget trying to capture a smile. She grins & laughs all day until she sees me behind a camera. {See picture above!}
She is obsessed with puppies, especially Ms Roni's Rosie, or as Meg calls her Row-reeeeeeeee.
She is #1 potty-trained & almost #2 too :)
She wants to play outside ALL the time & not with little toys. She loves to jump on the trampoline, but more than that she wants to play ball. With a real bat, a real glove, a real ball & real sweat. Don't try to fool her.
She has FINALLY grown some & I don't hear all the "oh so tiny" comments all the time. She's finally broken the 20 pound mark, but still wears mostly 12 month clothes & size 4 shoes.
She likes to be read to, if you let her pick the book. Her favorites these days are Go, Dog. Go! and Pat the Bunny...which she really just likes the "Daddy page"... the one where you feel Daddy's scratchy face.
She is still an excellent eater. Loves coleslaw...pretty sure that's her favorite! Likes just about anything that's not noodles.
Still sleeps in her crib because she sleeps about 14 hours every night & still takes a nap afternoons that we're home. No way I'm ready to give that up & I don't think she is anytime soon either. Besides I've got to get Ryan in gear to build her a big girl bed.
She finally is back to going to Bible class without crying herself silly. Thank goodness for teachers who have been unbelievably patient with her!
Here's to 1 more month at being 1, Sweet girl...
