Sick Day?

Paranoid: {verb} describes how school teachers, school administrators, school nurses, family members, friends, friends-of-friends, acquaintances & total strangers make you feel when your child runs a fever these days. severity of fever makes no difference.

Any of you have this feeling? All these cooties going around make homeschooling look better all the time, except for one little detail like I would like for my kids to be smarter than me. Not that I would send my sick child to school anyway, but these days I feel like if my child even utters the words "don't feel good" that I can't send them to school. So when Cole complained of a headache after school at the end of last week, followed by a fever, he got the next day out of school. But of course, that day, he didn't have a headache or run a fever so we had a day of fun...lots of Lego building
cleaning out toys & listing them on eBay
and loving on Baby Cakes who cut her very 1st tooth that day!
Thank God all the paranoid thoughts that were going through my head, followed by all the horror stories that everyone kept telling me, never came to be. I sent him on his merry way to school today...you know, so he can be smarter than me!

Hey, a little fun day at home doesn't hurt anybody. You need to sell those toys on Craigs List!!

I am so happy that Cole is feeling better. I cringe everytime the boys complain of not feeling good right now. Let's just hope the kiddos continue to be well.
