NOT the field trip I had in mind!

Even though we were out of school yesterday, we were up & at 'em early. We worked all day building up our flower beds (read lots & lots of shoveling, wheel-barreling & raking), then mulching them. The boys were eager to help in hopes of earning the last bit of money they needed to buy a new PlayStation (perhaps you remember me mentioning here that they broke theirs).
Baby Cakes watched.
After working, literally ALL day...the boys were worn out so we got out the sprinkler & watched them (as we were finishing up) running like wild boys through the sprinkler.

Baby Cakes even got in on the water action...not so happily.

The kiddos were all soaked, covered in mulch & grass. Ryan & I were absolutely nasty and then it happens. The scream from around the other side of the house...the frantic scream. So we ended our day @ the ER...which, by the way, is where you really want to be when the county is under quarantine for an outbreak. UGH! I'll just show the bandaged up version & I'll spare you what it looks like underneath.

So you may remember that I mentioned that I would planning our family field trip for today. Well, since our patient can't wear a shoe & can't get his foot wet & it has rained ALL day, that cut down on our options. So we went to lunch & to Wal-Mart...where Baby Cakes played on riding toys

and the boys finally got their new PlayStation.

After 4 months of absolutely no video games, hopefully they've learned a valuable lesson...love your brother as yourself much as you love your sister.

Ouch! That really stinks. But yes, a playstation makes a lot of things better.

Wow…that is not the way you want to end the day when everyone is exhausted from being outside working all day. Hopefully, the new playstation is making up for it today!

Cole, your injury looked gross!!!! Sure hope you are improving every day. Looked as though Cole and Ben worked really hard to earn the rest of the money for their ps2. These pictures are great! I need a big lovin' spoon full of my Precious, my Punkin, and my Pearl!!!!!!! Cynfie

I'm so sorry about Cole. I hope he's back to normal again soon. Rough way to end a day of yard work, huh? Hope the weekend is better. :)
