Whatta Week & A Yummy Treat!

I don't know when I've had such a great week! Me & the kiddos spent all week at my parents house. My aunt & uncle who I talked about here were in town with their kids. It was nothing spectacular, just a relaxing week with family, lots of sweet treats, taking naps (even me!), lots & lots of Lego building, fort making, cinematography, baby picture taking, backyard fun & shopping. You can probably guess which of us participated in which activities! Here's a glimpse...

The boys spent hours & hours & hours building Legos & then making short films using their minifigs (that's short for mini-figures for those of you not versed in Lego Star Wars talk). These 2 (my cousin Clint & Cole) worked especially hard, while Ben spent most of his time running away from the camera.

We ate lots of good food, including making piggies of ourselves at our favorite Mexican restaurant. Even Baby Cakes loves some Mexican food! She's had a taste of the finer things in life this week & I think our baby food days are over.

All the kiddos joined in the slip 'n slide action.

My cousin Jennifer captured some of the best pictures of Meg! I can't even tell you how excited I am to have several hundred pictures of her. Meg was a hoot...she smiled, frowned, pouted, made silly faces & even performed a toe-touch using the gracefulness she so obviously inherited from her Mommy. But, she never once cried!

Did you notice anything? On her? One of our shopping trips yielded her first pair of hard-soled shoes. A size 1, just in case you were wondering.
------------------------------------------------

And, for the yummy treat...every night my aunt & cousin came up with some diet friendly very fattening delicious recipe that rendered me will-powerless to say no. I mean, seriously, I wouldn't want to offend by not eating what they fixed!

This was my favorite treat. So easy & so yummy! Here's what you need...
Mix 2 packages of brownie mix following the directions on the package. (Hopefully you don't have relatives who act like...me!) Use cupcake liners & fill each with 1 generous tbsp of brownie batter. Make sure to have a grandma (or a Cynfie in our case) to keep little helpers at bay! Hide Reese's from relatives who WILL eat all of them, if you don't. Place one Reese's cup on top of the batter. Do not press down, because it will stick to the bottom. Then cover the top of the Reese's cup with another generous spoonful of brownie batter.
Bake according to the brownie mix directions. This recipe will make 18 peanut butter cup brownies.

Be sure to take pictures of your cute children eating the yummy treats. Realize that you were so busy making a complete pig of yourself that you indeed forgot to actually take any pictures of any cute children in the act of eating the yummy treat. So just take a picture of milk-moustached child with a plate full of crumbs.
Hope you ENJOY =)

I'm glad you had a good week spent with family and those you love. I love the slip and slide pictures! I'll have to try the treats. I make them with peanut butter cookie dough instead of brownies and we LOVE them!
