Classroom Crafts

I am so excited!  Ben's teacher asked me to come read & do some crafts with his class a couple of Fridays this month.  I love getting to spend time with my kids at school with their friends, I love being able to help out their teacher while giving them a little {much-deserved} break & I love for the kids to get to have a few minutes of creativity.  Last Friday I read, Skeleton Hiccups

I read the story while the kids did all the "hic, hic, hic" parts.  They were so cute!

After our story, I passed around containers of an assortment of dry pasta.  They could pick whatever they wanted to use to assemble their own skeleton.  Each skeleton was so unique & no two were even slightly the same.

This one cracks me up...skeleton with a light saber & big ears...Yoda perhaps?

Somewhere along the way I guess I "missed the memo" that your blog address changed. I knew you had planned to, but didn't realize it already happened. I'm glad I found you. I'm all caught up now. :) Love the skeleton crafts...trust me...you are the type of parent that EVERY teacher would love! :)

How cute and creative!

I have been waiting for the day that my kids can read...mostly because of a 'pasta craft' that my mom did with me when I was little! She bought the alphabet soup dry pasta (just a million little letters) and I glued an ENTIRE letter to my grandparents who lived in TN out of pasta letters. Tedious, but it was so fun. They loved it, and I still remember it!

You're a great mommy!
