I am so thankful that I not only knew Cissy, but counted her as one of my best friends. I am so thankful for the example that she set as a strong & courageous Christian lady. I am thankful that she showed me how to be faithful every day, in every situation. I am thankful for the friends that I met through her & thankful for the friendships that have grown deeper because of her. I am thankful that although I can't celebrate her 35th birthday with her today that I know one day I will see her again!
You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing to you and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever.
Psalm 30:11-12

That is crazy that yesterday was her birthday. I say that because when Stephen went out to get the paper and it was pink, she popped into my head. With all the cancer awareness this month I thought of her.
I'm so sorry.
Yesterday would have been my grandmother's birthday too! She passed away 4 years ago last month from breast cancer.
I hope and pray that a cure will be found before we lose more mothers, grandmothers, and friends.
