One Decade

One decade ago things were settling down.  Despite all the Y2K hype, we all survived.  We all had food (and no one was forced to live off their stock piles of canned goods & bottled water).  The utilities continued to run.  Computers did not come crashing down.  Do y'all ever think back about all that?  C.R.A.Z.Y.

After surviving the kickoff of the new decade, Ryan & I were preparing for our biggest adventure EVER.  One decade ago, we became parents.  It was without a doubt THE day that changed my life forever.  This was the morning we welcomed Cole Hunter into our family. 

I don't know where time has gone.  I remember people saying that time goes by so quickly when you have kids.  That is an absolute truth!  I really can't believe that one whole decade has past by. 

In honor of his 10th birthday, here's my Top 10 Things That I Love Most About Cole

(in no particular order)...

.loves to learn {loves to read, enjoys school, likes to research things, always inquisitive}

.tries his hardest at everything {and wants to be the best at schoolwork, every sport...everything}

.is the best cuddle bug ever

.still wants me to come to everything he's involved in {although he may/may not let me kiss him in front of his friends any more}

.wants to do the "right" thing {and if he doesn't, he is overcome with guilt & will ALWAYS rat himself out}

.judicious when choosing friends {he has lots of friends, but chooses very wisely who he spends his time with}

.honest

.cares about others

.prays sincerely

.he's my baby {even if he's 10!}
