I really do have so much to post about {birthday celebrations, basketball seasons, etc} but I've got to collect my thoughts on all those. Meg has been sick for over a week. She started with an ear infection. Bless her sweet heart, I would never know that she is sick...she never fussed, never ran a fever, never pulled on her ear, but she did have the green gunk coming out of her eyes. After being on an antibiotic for a week, she broke out in a terrible rash. The doctor determined that she had hives from the penicillin in the antibiotic. And, they switched her to a different antibiotic. The next day, she woke up 10 times worse. It was horrible. Every square inch of her was covered in big red welps. Her little face was swelling & her little eyes looked pitiful. We took her in to see the doctor that day. After a few days of steroids, she looks much better, but let me tell you those steroids do crazy things to babes. I've heard friends say that, but my gracious! She is so aggitated. About EVERYTHING. Tonight she'll take her last dose, so hopefully things can get back to normal around here. And maybe then I can get my thoughts together.

I'm sorry she has been through so much! Poor baby. I wish I could have held her in class sunday, but she wasn't calming down and I was by myself, and wouldn't you know we had 6 that day (we usually have 4). I wanted to tell you! She usually calms down but I didn't have enough hands Sunday!! Hope she's back next Sunday and I can hold her since Ginger will be back.

Awww...poor thing! I'm so sorry, Joy. Sounds like a rough time for Meg and for Mommy. Steroids are no fun. We've had too many experiences with those...especially with Noah because of his asthma. Turns kids into crazy little people! Hope things are looking up in your home.
hope meg is feeling like her sweet 'lil 'ol self SOON.
[hugs] to both of you!

Brayden reacted like that after he had taken penicillin numerous times. I know it is miserable for everyone. We put him in the tub with an oatmeal bath and that helped some. Hives stink. I hope she is better soon!
Poor little Meg! I am so sorry that you have been going thru all of the sickness, I know it is no fun. And steroids, oh my, they do make the babies go crazy. I hope your sweet little Meg is back to normal soon!
